Opportunities to Give
When you donate to NCJW Bergen County Section, you can be assured that your contribution goes directly to our expansive community educational programs, the strategies for our impactful advocacy work and the organizations we support which benefit women, children and families.
Annual Personal Giving Campaign (Stay-At-Home)
This is our largest fundraiser of the year.
Through this campaign, you help women, children and families, feed the hungry and fight human trafficking and domestic violence. And through our advocacy programs, your voice is heard throughout local, state and national governments.

Snack Pack Baskets
A ‘basket’ is passed around at every general meeting and these funds are donated to the Center for Food Action for nutritious food packages for children. Each snack pack costs $5.00. Please support this initiative by donating online.
#Giving Tuesday
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. The NCJW BCS fully supports Giving Tuesday, this year on November 30th, 2021. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Matching Gifts
Make your donation go twice as far if your or your spouse’s employer has a matching gift program. All that is usually required is to submit the company’s matching gift form with your contribution to NCJW Bergen County Section.
Donate Securities and Shares of Stock
If you wish to donate stock as your contribution to NCJW BCS, advise your stockbroker or financial planner that you would like to transfer the stock to NCJW Bergen County Section. Please notify Fran Butensky, chair of the Investment Committee, at franbuten@aol.com. We will connect you with NCJW BCS’ broker.
Donor Advised Funds
Recommend a gift from a donor advised fund for NCJW BCS. Ask your tax preparer about possible tax advantages for donating through your donor advised fund. Some of the most common donations are publicly traded securities, shares of stock, bonds and mutual funds.

To leave a legacy to NCJW BCS and our community, we have established the L’Dor V'Dor Circle. As you know, L’dor V'Dor means from “generation to generation”. As a supporter of the Circle you are asked to make a commitment to naming NCJW Bergen County Section in your estate plan. Members of the L’dor V'Dor Circle will be acknowledged annually. Life Insurance Beneficiary
Gifts of life insurance are as simple as naming NCJW BCS as a beneficiary of a new or existing policy. Life insurance policies can have multiple beneficiaries. This gift is very straightforward and NCJW BCS will receive funds immediately upon termination of the policy.
