In Israel, NCJW does its work through a gender lens, empowering Israeli and American women to advocate for a robust civil society. For more than 70 years, we have been supporting women, children, and families throughout Israeli society regardless of ethnicity, religion, and economic status.
Now, following the unprecedented surprise attack by Hamas on Israel, and the magnitude of the events that began with the massacre on October 7, 2023, Israeli women are organizing through their deep pain and trauma, and National Council of Jewish Women is here for them. Through our Israel Granting Program (IGP) Emergency Appeal, NCJW is building resources to address the most urgent, acute needs, while planning for the long crisis ahead. Viewing the crisis through a gender lens, this fund is focused on strengthening efforts and approaches which place women, children, and families front and center at all levels.
What YOU can do today to respond to the crisis in Israel
NCJW Bergen County Section has contributed to the Emergency Fund and gives financial support annually to the NCJW Israel Granting Program. In addition, we provides inspirational advocacy and educational programs through our Israel Affairs initiative.
