Meet Sammie Moshenberg
For many years, Sammie Moshenberg has been NCJW’s director of Washington operations. She coordinates all of NCJW’s advocacy efforts in Washington, DC, and nationwide. She also staffs NCJW’s State Public Affairs network of volunteer advocates in more than 20 states. She represents NCJW on national coalitions concerned with judicial nominations, civil rights, reproductive rights, child care, and First Amendment issues, and speaks widely with passion and humor on public policy and legislative issues throughout the country. A feminist activist, Sammie has been at the forefront of advocating for equality, economic and social justice for over 30 years.

At NCJW’s recent convention in St. Louis, attended by delegates from Bergen County Section, to a stunned audience of several hundred delegates, Sammie announced her upcoming retirement.

To honor her, you are cordially invited to meet her after the program. Join us for champagne and a “Happy Retirement” cake and to thank her for an illustrious NCJW career, dedicated to making a difference in the world. Help us wish her a very happy and well-earned retirement.

We will miss her terribly.

Also, please join us at the meeting for a special commemoration to the victims of the Holocaust in honor of Yom Hashoah. Lisl Malkin, NCJW Life Member and kindertransport child, will read a very moving commemoration.
