Swim-In Annual Celebration Luncheon, Sunday May 19, 2013

Since its inception by NCJW BCS in 1976, our members, in coalition with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, volunteer weekly at the Swim-In program at the JCC in Tenafly. Swim-In is a water therapy program for people with MS. Our volunteers help the swimmers enjoy the buoyancy of the water which enables body movement. In the words of one of the swimmers: “the physical, emotional and psychological benefits are invaluable to me and I can’t thank the volunteers at NCJW BCS enough.”  At the end of each season swimmers, friends, families and volunteers enjoy each other’s company at their annual luncheon. For volunteers and clients alike, all agree that Swim-In is a rewarding experience.
