STUDY GROUP. Making A Difference: One Woman’s Journey to Helping Others

Come hear Elaine Adler’s incredible story!
Tuesday, October 31 1:00 pm
Riverside Mall Conference Center, Lower Level
390 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601-6310

In these overwhelming times, we often don’t feel that one person can make a difference. And yet people can definitely help bring change when faced with the greatest of challenges.

Such a person is Elaine Adler, who not only founded the Adler Aphasia Center, but also continues to support world-wide research to help those struggling with aphasia, an acquired language disorder due to stroke or brain injury. What started out as a frustrating search to help her husband has resulted in the establishment of a vital resource for those with this condition. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her efforts. How wonderful that she is an NCJW life member!

In addition, we will hear Shelby Klein, President and CEO of the Adler Aphasia Center, and meet several of the NCJW volunteers who assist at the center.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 31st at 1 pm at the Riverside Mall Conference Center. Cost: $5 members, $10 non-members. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Marilynn Friedman at 201-568-0145 or marisfried@aol.com.
