SOUTHERN BELLE TALKS ABOUT GROWING UP IN THE SOUTH

Marjorie Mayer Goldner spoke to a packed audience of over 50 members and non-members at the first meeting of Timely Topics and Tasty Treats on October 3rd. Her story of growing up Jewish in the south in the 1940’s, 1950’s and early 1960’s was warmly received by those who attended. Her talk was followed by a robust question and answer period. The group was thoroughly engaged in the discussion with many sharing their own “stories” of growing up in this period. An enjoyable and meaningful time was had by all!
