PIRATES LAND AT HIPPY WORKSHOP
At a recent HIPPY workshop, more than 30 excited youngsters were introduced to the wonders of the puppet world by Diane Koszarski, director of Flamingo Puppets. The children enjoyed experimenting with finger, glove and hand puppets which was followed by a story about pirates. An interactive performance of PIRATE BOB AND HIS BURIED TREASURE, featuring the beleaguered Bob, a scary crocodile, and an adorable puppy, charmed and delighted the audience of boys and girls and NCJW BCS volunteers. The program was underwritten by a generous donation from a member of NCJW BCS.
HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters), an arm of Bergen Family Center, trains parents to be their children’s first teachers.
