NCJW STUDY GROUP LECTURE ON JEWS IN FILMS

A series of compelling vignettes on Jewish actors and actresses was presented on September 11 at an NCJW Study Group meeting that took place at the Riverside Square Mall Conference Center. Narrated by Arnie Wechter, former advertising and marketing executive — “Hiding In Plain Sight.”  The PowerPoint presentation reviewed the history of Jewish film performers who made their mark in the popular culture from the silent era to the present. Noting the high schools and colleges some performers attended, members in the audience who were fellow alumni often cheered.  The meeting opened with remarks by Co-President Ann Levenstein. Arnie Wechter was introduced by Ruth Seitelman, who chaired the event. It was presented to a packed room filled with an enthusiastic audience that enjoyed the presentation as well as a wide selection of refreshments.  A good time was had by all.
