NCJW BCS receives prestigious CITIZEN COMMUNITY SERVICE Award

At its annual awards dinner on October 3, 2013, the Bergen County Bar Foundation presented NCJW Bergen County Section with its prestigious CITIZEN COMMUNITY SERVICE Award for its outstanding work in the community and specifically for the establishment of the Domestic Violence Waiting Room and the Children’s Court Care Center, both at the Bergen County Courthouse.  Co-President Gladys Laden gave an overview of NCJW Bergen County Section to the audience, which included over 200 lawyers, prosecutors and guests at White Beeches Country Club in Haworth.  Accepting the award on NCJW BCS’s behalf were Ina Miller Silverstein and Joan Snider, co-chairs of the Waiting Room.  Others attending the awards dinner were Ellen Jacobs, Phyllis Becker, Marcia Levy, Henrietta Wolfeiler, Myrna Levine, Ann Levenstein and Linda Schwager, attorney, mayor of Oakland and new BCS member.
