On Sunday, January 26, NCJW BCS participated in the Mitzvah Mall held at Barnert Temple in Franklin Lakes, NJ.  This annual event is sponsored by the Temple’s Social Action Committee with the purpose of raising money and awareness for grassroots organizations close to home and around the world. After a lengthy review process, ten non-profit organizations were selected by the committee to participate.  According to the Temple’s criteria, “Each charity represents a mitzvah, a commandment to do moral deeds and pursue social justice through acts of human kindness.”  NCJW BCS was delighted to be one of those selected.
