NCJW BCS BOARD CELEBRATES HANUKKAH WITH MENORAH MEMORIES

Menorah for thumbnailMenorahs, latkes, and lots of songs were the order of the day at NCJW Bergen County Section’s board meeting on December 8.  Many members brought their favorite menorahs, all of which had a story attached:  one handed down from grandmother to mother to daughter, one that played Hatikva, one with each candle holder a replica of the Statue of Liberty — each cherished by its owner.  The board was serenaded with Hanukkah songs by the delightful children from the ECC at Temple Sinai in Englewood, with the NCJW board members singing along with them.  We were also entertained by our own Susan Laskin, with her guitar, singing more Hanukkah favorites.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Hanukkah — with wonderful memories, with delicious bite-size latkes, with adorable children, with music and with our NCJW colleagues.
