KNIT WITS MADE HATS, SCARVES AND GLOVES TO HELP KEEP KIDS AT HOLLEY COZY & WARM THIS WINTER

On Tuesday, November 18 at Club NCJW, our monthly visit to do fun activities and spend time with kids at the Holley Center, the creative and gifted members of Knit Wits hand-knitted lots of hats, scarves and gloves to a room full of delighted kids. The boys and girls selected their choice of colors and styles and voted them “cool”!

Thank you Knit Wits Ethel Chesen, Natalie Feingold, Shirley Finkelstein, Estelle Green, Lee Lesser, Evelyn Masheb, and Sabina Sicklick.

The knitting is done by NCJW BCS volunteers who like to do “hands-on” work. Includes hats, scarves, Afghans, blankets, knitted toy bears. They are made for the children at Holley Center, children at Kilbarchan, residents at Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Hackensack homeless shelter, Hackensack Hospital pediatric ward patients, Israeli soldiers to wear under their helmets, Hurricane Katrina and disaster victims, and anyone who needs them.

If you are a knitter and would like to join Knit Wits, please contact Sabina Sicklick, sabinasicklick@yahoo.com, (201) 342-3671.
