JEWISH HOME AT ROCKLEIGH VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BARBECUE

On Tuesday, June 27th over 125 volunteers were honored for their dedication and their greatly-appreciated volunteer service at the Jewish Home assisted living facility in River Vale.  NCJW volunteers interact with the residents by assisting in activities like the Sweetheart Dance and Coney Island Day. NCJW volunteers also staff the gift shop.  Among those volunteers were NCJW BCS members Elaine Pollack, Carla Silver, Gwen Dubno, Sabina Sicklick, Nan Matlick, Carole Benson, Peggy Kabakow and Roberta Lew.

During the remarks by Carol Silver Elliot, President & CEO, and Stacey Orden, Director of Volunteer Services, a number of volunteer were acknowledge for their many hours of service:   Peggy Kabakow for 250 hours and Roberta Lew for 100 hours.  They each received a Rockleigh volunteer service pin.

The volunteers returned home knowing the importance of their donated time and how it benefits all the residents as well as all of us.
