BRAIN FITNESS STUDY GROUP

Just where did I leave my glasses? You know who I mean, what’s her name? It’s right on the tip of my tongue. Why can’t I remember? An interactive lecture explaining Brain Fitness was presented on November 13 at an NCJW Study Group meeting held at the Riverside Square Mall Conference Center. Linda Lohsen, BSN, RN, the Director for the Center for Healthy Living at Holy Name Hospital Medical Center, gave an overview of how the brain functions and in what way aging and disease steal our thoughts. She went on to mention that keeping the brain healthy with a proper diet, sleep, and exercise was important. The group had fun with brain teasers at the end of the meeting. Linda Lohsenwas introduced by Ruth Seitelman, who chaired the event. The room was filled and the audience enjoyed the presentation as well as the wide selection of refreshments.
