AFFLUENCE AND POVERTY: A TALE OF TWO BERGEN COUNTIES

Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 12:30 pm
Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Road, Teaneck, NJ

Attend our panel discussion and become informed about the problems of hunger, homelessness and the lack of affordable housing. Open to the public, free of charge.
“It’s the best of times. It’s the worst of times.” It all depends on your point of view. In Bergen County, home to some of the wealthiest bedroom communities in the northeast, too many people live in poverty — and to our collective disgrace — children go to bed hungry every night.
Panelists: State Senator Loretta Weinberg, Moderator; Lynn Bartlett Executive Director Bergen County Housing Authority; Kate Duggan Director Bergen Family Promise; Adina Yacoub, Administrative Supervisor, Bergen County Board of Social Services; Teaneck Mayor Julia M. Orlando Director Bergen County Housing, Health & Human Service Center; Adele H. Latourette Director New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition.
